Helen Wisner

Bio:
Helen Wisner (born Helen Elizabeth Wisner on July 27, 1989 in California ) is a former Miss Arkansas. Helen grew up not knowing about her birth mother. While living in Mesa, Arizona, Helen was put up for adoption. She was diagnosed as “special needs” because at two years old, she hardly spoke any words. Her adoptive parent was an educational examiner and worker with her to overcome this difficulty. She grew up in Northern Little Rock, becoming a cheerleader in high school. She loved camping, acting and participating in church activities. Helen attended the University of Arkansas and graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication. She worked on getting her master’s degree, teaching communication to undergrads. Helen took a speech teacher position with the Shiloh Christian School in Springdale, Arkansas. She also is an assistant golf coach for the school.

Best Known For:
Helen Wisner is best known as a former Miss Arkansas and as the wife of country singer, Craig Strickland.

Personal Life:
Helen is a huge Harry Potter fan and enjoys creating her own recipes in the kitchen. She met Craig through mutual friends and they soon fell in love. Helen and Craig were together as she competed (and won!) the Miss Arkansas USA 2014 Pageant. After she was crowned, Craig joined her onstage to propose. They were married in June 2014. In Dec. 2015, Craig was reported missing after he and a friend, Chase Morland, were caught in an extreme winter storm. Chase’s dead body was discovered on Dec. 28, and Craig was also tragically found dead one week later, on Jan. 4, 2016.
