Harris Wittels (born Harris Lee Wittels in Los Angeles, California on April 20, 1984) was an American producer, writer and actor. Harris served as the co-executive producer and writer on NBC’s cult classic Parks & Recreation. He guest-starred on the show multiple times throughout the seven seasons. He was also a writer on The Sarah Silverman Program and dubbed the term “humblebrag.” He wrote a novel in 2012 titled Humblebrag: The Art of False Modesty. Harris was found dead in his Los Angeles on Feb. 19, 2015 from a suspected drug overdose.
