Grumpy Cat (born Tardar Sauce on April 4, 2012 in Morristown, Arizona) is an Internet celebrity. Her owner, Tabatha Bundesen, says that Grumpy Cat’s trademark face is due to an underbite and feline dwarfism. Grumpy became a worldwide meme phenomenon on September 22, 2012 when Tabatha’s brother shared a picture of Grumpy on Reddit. Since then, She has appeared on Today, Good Morning America, The Soup, on a season finale of The Bachelorette and even an episode of WWE Monday Night Raw. Grumpy Cat made her first movie appearance in the documentary Lil Bub & Friendz, featuring fellow Internet cat, Lil Bub. In November 2014, Grumpy starred in the film Grump Cay’s Worst Christmas Ever, with actress Aubrey Plaza voicing Grumpy.

Despite her scowl, Grumpy is considered quite sweet and very relaxed. Grumpy and her brother, Pokey, were born from normal parents but each shared the same condition. She is a spokes-cat for Friskies brand cat food and has helped out with Friskies’s charity efforts. Grumpy Cat is estimated to be worth over #1 million. She Released Grumpy Cat: A Grumpy Book in 2013. It debuted at #7 on the New York Times Best Seller List.
