Kesha, 28, wants out of her Sony Music contract so she can get back to recording music, but that option was flat-out denied on Feb. 19 by Manhattan judge, Shirley Kornreich. The singer wants out after accusing her longtime producer Luke Gottwald (Dr. Luke) of sexually, mentally, and physically abusing her.
Dr. Luke, 41, is calling Kesha, 27, “a liar” after the singer filed a lawsuit against her longtime producer alleging that he had been abusive towards her since she first signed with him. TMZ reports that Dr. Luke is claiming that Kesha is, “making up stories just so she can get out of her legally binding contract.”
So sad. TMZ reports that Kesha, 27, has filed a lawsuit against her longtime producer, Dr. Luke, 41, who has represented the singer since she was just eighteen-years-old. The site reports that Kesha claims, “he would force her to use drugs and alcohol to remove her defenses.”
Dr. Luke has a long history of success in the music business — producing songs for Kelly Clarkson, Avril Lavigne, and Kelly Clarkson — but his integrity is being called into question after a new report claimed that Ke$ha is blaming her eating disorder and subsequent trip to rehab on him.
