Bio:
Derrick Rose (born Derrick Martell Rose in Chicago, Illinois on Oct. 4, 1988) is an NBA player who currently plays for the Chicago Bulls. Following his successful high school basketball career, he accepted a scholarship to play for the University of Memphis. He played there for one year, however, an NCAA investigation revealed his SAT scores were invalidated, so the NCAA vacated the entirety of his 2007-2008 season. After playing one year in the NCAA, he was drafted first overall by the Bulls in the 2008 NBA draft. Derrick was named the NBA Most Valuable Player at age 22, making him the youngest player ever to win this award.

Personal Life:
Derrick was accused of drugging and gang-raping one of his alleged ex-girlfriends, who slapped him with a lawsuit in Aug. 2015. In October 2016, Derrick was cleared of all charges after a jury trial.
