David de Gea (born Nov.7, 1990 as David de Gea Quintana) is a Spanish professional soccer player. He plays goalkeeper for the English team Manchester United and the Spanish national team. David is from Madrid, Spain and began his career at 13 when he kept goal for Atletico Madrid. After helping the team secure the UEFA Super Cup in 2010, David earned a contract with Man U. David competed in the 2012 Olympics and was selected to also play in the 2014 World Cup.
