Bio:
David Banner (born Lavell William Crump on April 11, 1974 in Jackson, Mississippi) is an American rapper and record producer. Banner first started out as one half of the rap duo Crooked Lettaz. He went solo in 2000, when he released his first album titled Them Firewater Boyz, Vol. 1. Under Universal Records, Banner has also put out the albums MTA2: Baptized in Dirty Water, Certified, and The Greatest Story Ever Told.

Personal Life:
Banner attended Southern University. As a philanthropist, he contributed aid to the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and was awarded a Visionary Award by the National Black Caucus of the State Legislature in 2006.
