The Sept. 29 episode of The Vampire Diaries was yet another roller coaster of many kinds — time periods, hairstyles, and of course, teen vampire emotions. Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Elena (Nina Dobrev) finally caught up with Stefan (Paul Wesley) in Chicago, but their reunion was tainted with an epic breakup, the likes of which The CW has never seen.
Considering Stefan (Paul Wesley) is now in full-on Ripper mode, I was sure the third season of The Vampire Diaries would be all about Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) giving into their sweet, nasty passions. But man, was I wrong! The Sept. 15 season premiere was loaded with enough Stefan-Elena moments to convert my Delena-shipping heart. Well… almost.
Candice Accola already revealed her thoughts on Caroline and Tyler’s friendship-based relationship on The Vampire Diaries next season, and she also talked to HollywoodLife.com about Elena and the Salvatore brothers. “I think Elena has moved closer to Damon,” Candice admitted, when we asked if she thought the two would get closer in season three.
Candice Accola sat down with us to chat about her Lyme disease fund-raising efforts, (more details on that soon!) and to give us her thoughts on next season of The Vampire Diaries. We’ve already heard from Michael Trevino on his hope that Caroline and Tyler will set a balanced example for Mystic Falls, but we wanted to hear what Candice had to say about the werewolf and vampireduo possibly getting together … and she didn’t let us down with her opinions on the relationship!
Warning! If you haven’t watched “Plan B,” stop reading. There be spoilers ahead… OK, let’s do this: It really wasn’t a great night for Team Stelena. In a desperate attempt to keep Katherine (Nina Dobrev) from ruining their lives any further, Nina decided she needed to break up with Stefan (Paul Wesley.) I may drink the Delena Kool-Aid myself, but I still feel your pain. And speaking of pain, the break-up was triggered by Katherine forcing Aunt Jenna (Sara Canning) to stab herself with a kitchen knife! But was she one who died?…
