Brandon Saad (born on October 27, 1992 in Pittsburgh, PA) is a professional ice hockey player. In 2011, he was drafted by the Chicago Blackhawks of the National Hockey League. He currently plays with the Columbus Blue Jackets in the NHL after being traded in June 2015.

Personal Life:
Saad is an American of Syrian descent. His father moved to American at age 18, and many of Saad’s relatives remain in Syria, living under the threat of the Syrian Civil War. Saad’s brother, George, played ice hockey at Pennsylvania State University, and was drafted in the USHL Entry Draft by the Youngstown Phantoms.
