Bio:
Aunjanue Ellis (born on February 21, 1969 in San Francisco, California) is an American film, stage, and television actress. She attended Tougaloo College before transferring to Brown University, where she completed her B.A. in African-American studies. Aunjanue later studied acting and attended New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. In 1995, she made her first professional acting debut in William Shakespeare’s The Tempest, as Ariel opposite Patrick Stewart’s Prospero. Aunjanue has appeared on television series such as New York Undercover (1998), The Practice (1999), MD’s (2002), The Mentalist (2011-2013), and NCIS: Los Angeles (2012-2014). She has starred in films such as Men of Honor (2000), The Caveman’s Valentine (2001), Ray (2004), Game of Death (2010), The Help (2011) and Get On Up (2014). In 2015, Aunjanue joined the main cast of the ABC series Quantico, playing the role of Miranda Shaw.
