Alek Skarlatos, who is most famous for taking down a gunman on a train headed to Paris this past summer, was honored for his bravery during Game 3 of the 2015 World Series on Oct. 30, and it was well deserved! Alek was brought onto the field during the 2015 World Series, which saw the New York Mets take on the Kansas City Royals at Citi Field.
The romantic dance that Emma Slater, 26, and Alek Skarlatos, 23, performed during Switch-Up week on Dancing With The Stars, wasn’t only impressive; it revealed some amazing chemistry! Though they went back to their partners after the switcheroo was over, fans couldn’t help but wonder if there was something romantic going on behind the scenes, too.
Whether facing down a terrorist or visiting him in a hospital, it’s good to know that American hero Alek Skarlatos, 23, always has his friend Spencer Stone‘s, 23, back. On Oct. 10, the DWTS contestant went to the hospital, where the Airman was recovering after a stabbing attack and posted a pic on his Instagram of the two spending time together.
Spencer Stone, 23, has an angel on his shoulder once again. The U.S Airman survived a stabbing in Sacramento on Oct. 8, just weeks after he and his friends, Alek Skarlatos and Anthony Sadler, stopped a terrorist attack on a train in France. Alek made sure to send some love to his friend on Twitter after this brutal attack.
Alek Skarlatos, 23, rushed home to his small Oregon community after learning nine were killed by a gunman at Umpqua Community College, the same school he attended before deploying to Afghanistan in 2014. In a new interview in Ellen DeGeneres, the Dancing With The Stars contestant even reveals he would have been in class on the UCC campus had he not signed up for the reality competition series. Wow.
Had he not taken the final spot on Season 21 of Dancing With The Stars, American hero Alek Skarlatos, 23, would have likely been on campus at Umpqua Community College when Chris Harper-Mercer, 26, opened fire on Oct. 1. Alek is, understandably, beyond devastated by this tragedy, and has released a statement, as he puts dancing on the back burner to head home to his community.
This is just so terrifying. Dancing With The Stars contestant Alek Skarlatos, 22, was in the middle of rehearsals with his partner Lindsay Arnold when he reportedly received a phone call informing him of the tragic shooting that took place at Umpqua Community College — the school he is currently enrolled in. How devastating!
