One day before Thanksgiving, Katie Holmes and her new boyfriend Emilio Vitolo Jr. were seen taking a stroll through the streets of New York City. Katie, 41, and Emilio, 33, were spotted walking with arms linked. The Dawson’s Creek star dressed in a dark blue pea coat, a matching fall cap, and a pair of comfy jeans. She accessorized her look with a face mask and the best “accessory” – her new boyfriend. Emilio wore a coat over a grey t-shirt and his own facemask.
The couple stopped by a flower shop to pick up a bouquet. Whether or not these flowers will serve as a centerpiece for Katie and Emilio’s Thanksgiving dinner was unclear. Here’s hoping that Emilio is the one cooking up the food this year. He is a chef and the owner of the NYC hotspot Ballato. The restaurant is best known for its take on such classic Italian dishes as Spaghetti al Pomodoro, Tagliatelle alla Bolognese, and Linguine alle Vongole. So, maybe it’ll be an Italian Thanksgiving?
Whether Emilio is serving up lasagna or turkey this year, both he and Katie will be giving thanks that they found each other this year. Katie and Emilio were first seen together in early September. She and the then-unidentified Emilio were spotted having dinner at SoHo hotspot Antique Garage. Katie had a huge smile on her face during the dinner date. Clearly, she felt a love connection because since then, these two have been practically inseparable.
Or, should we say, their lips have been practically inseparable. The two were seen making out in NYC as if they were two lovestruck teens. About two weeks after their first date, they were seen snuggling while out and about in New York. When they took a ferry ride on the East River, the two snuggled up, with Katie resting her shoulder on her new man. It seems that every other day, Katie and Emilio are spotted walking hand-in-hand, showing off this new love for all the world to see.
“Emilio isn’t like most men,” a source close to the chef told HollywoodLife EXCLUSIVELY. “He’s confident and isn’t afraid of going for what he wants. He has a magnetic personality and has a way about him that makes people smile. That’s probably what drew her in, and it’s no wonder she feels comfortable and safe with him to show affection in public.”
