Holly Robinson Peete
Celebrities and friends came out in full force for Holly Robinson Peete and Rodney Peete, at a private estate in Malibu July 21,for the 14th annual DesignCare, a celebration of fashion and music, to benefit the HollyRod Foundation.
Guests enjoyed a lavish evening under the stars with festivities that included a cocktail reception, silent and live auction and runway show by Los Angeles fashion designer Sue Wong. The evening will also featured a special musical performance by Natalie Cole and Luke James, led by music director, Rickey Minor. The annual event raises funds for those living with autism and Parkinson’s disease. And it was a great night to say the least!
Ali Landry reveals how she and her favorite celebrity pals get together over dinner for mom time! It’s like book club (for Hollywood mothers)!
The beautiful Ali Landry, 37, who is expecting baby number two, is an honorary member of quite a Hollywood crew! Ali and her celebrity mommy friends have come together to support one another by starting their very own Celebrity Mom Supper Club! How cool is that?
Don’t you love that Sofia Vergara is tired of being bullied because she’s not a scary skinny and is speaking out against it?
“Someone told me I should lose weight,” she confessed to Sharon Osbourne, Julie Chen and Holly Robinson Peete on The Talk show on Feb. 21. It turns out that before she became infamous for her sexy mama role on Modern Family, she couldn’t borrow a dress for a red carpet event to save her life. They were size zeros and “they’d only come up to there. (she pointed to her hips) It was a nightmare.”
The Talk made its premiere on CBS this afternoon. We settled in to watch the ladies dish the dirt on motherhood and parenting, but were left disappointed.
CBS’ new hour-long chat show The Talk (which premiered today) is certainly not The View 2.0. Sure, the show starts with a lot of famous faces as hosts — Julie Chen, Leah Remini, Sharon Osbourne, Holly Robinson Peete and Sara Gilbert — sitting around a table (which is actually distracting because the table is a tad too high so it cuts their bodies off at an unflattering angle and seeing their legs below the table is equally distracting) but that’s where the similarities with Barbara Walters’ show end.
The co-host of the new daytime talk show, The Talk, opens up about being a mom and admits “No one tells you how difficult it is! I’m here to tell you it is very, very difficult!” Can you relate, HollyMoms?
She may be best known as a former Dancing With the Stars contestant or as a new co-host on The Talk, a CBS chat fest for moms that premieres today (Oct. 18), but Marissa Jaret Winokur is most proud of her role as mom to son Zev, 2. “It’s the hardest, most gratifying challenge of my life,” confesses Marissa, who admits she had a Mommy Life Crisis when she became a mother (via a surrogate) and thought it was a good day if she managed to change out of her sweats!
The Tony Award-winning co-host of this fall’s new CBS show, The Talk, opens up about the struggles she faced during her first year of motherhood.
Marissa Jaret Winokur is a good actress, but when she adopted her son, Zev Isaac, two years ago, she was convinced that she was a lousy mom.
Celebrity moms Sharon Osbourne, Julie Chen, Leah Remini and Sara Gilbert primed to take on Barbara Walters’ and company.
With the long-running soap opera As the World Turns going off the air in September, CBS has found a good replacement, thanks to Roseanne star Sara Gilbert and her celebrity mom friends. Sara has developed a yet-to-be-named talk show show and will be one of the hosts, along with Sharon Osbourne, Julie Chen, Leah Remini, Marissa Jaret Winokur and Holly Robinson Peete, who will chat about “topical events and contemporary issues through the eyes of parents.” Sounds a lot like The View, doesn’t it?
Sorry, Holly, but you didn’t stand a chance against the power of “Bret-mania!”
After eleven weeks of fundraising, firing and feuding, Bret Michaels was finally named The Celebrity Apprentice during the show’s live season finale May 23 — and he deserved it! Runner-up Holly Robinson Peete was a worthy adversary, but if you look back at his achievements throughout the season, you can’t deny he was the stronger competitor. Donald Trump (and all you voters, of course) definitely made the right decision.
After a brief stop in Nashville, the ‘Apprentice’ finalist is on his way to NYC!
It looks like Bret Michaels will be making it to the live season finale of Celebrity Apprentice tonight – his plane is on the way to New York City right now! People reports that the singer boarded a plan in Arizona this morning, making a quick stop in Nashville on the way. A source in Nashville says Bret was “complaining of a headache, lower back pain and some cramping in his legs,” but soon reboarded the plane to head to NYC!
I hope Bret is well enough to give it his all!
It’s going to be an intense one tonight, BFFs! Bret Michaels, 47, is facing off against Holly Robinson Peete, 45, in the Celebrity Apprentice season finale, and I’m on the edge of my seat. Bret, of course, is still recovering from the debilitating brain hemorrhage he suffered in April, and until recently it was unclear as to whether or not he’d even be well enough to compete. And even though he was readmitted to the hospital May 20, we have learned he WILL be in New York for tonight’s finale! It all starts at 9 p.m. TONIGHT on NBC.
Even though he nearly died, Bret won’t be receiving any special treatment on the Celebrity Apprentice finale next week. Donald Trump will play fair and square!
Don’t expect Bret Michaels to get any pity points from Donald Trump during the Celebrity Apprentice finale May 23. Maria Kanellis, the latest contestant to be fired from NBC’s hit reality show, told HollywoodLife.com Trump is the ultimate businessman and he’s NOT into favoritism, regardless of the circumstances!
“It’s unfortunate what happened with [Bret],” the 28-year-old former pro wrestler said during an Apprentice conference call May 18, after raving about how nice the 47-year-old rocker is in real life.

Wouldn’t that be such an epic win for Bret? We’re rooting for him more than ever now!
OK, this has to be the most dramatic season of The Celebrity Apprentice yet. On the May 16 episode, Donald Trump unleashed his wrath on former WWE Diva Maria Kanellis, celebrity chef Curtis Stone and (shockingly) Sharon Osbourne, sending all three contestants home! That leaves Holly Robinson Peete and Bret Michaels as the final two competitors — but will Bret be well enough to compete in the LIVE finale May 23?
With his health improving every day, Bret is ready to get back to work!
I’m so glad to hear that Bret Michaels is recovering well after his sudden and shocking brain hemorrhage back in April — and I’m super excited to see him back on TV! People is reporting that Bret, 47, plans to sit down with none other than Oprah to talk about his health in an episode that will air May 19. And if all goes according to plan, Bret will be making his first LIVE appearance on the Celebrity Apprentice season finale May 23! ”We really hope that Bret is well and able to join us at the finale,” Apprentice host Donald Trump tells the mag. “I have much respect as he is a fighter and strong competitor.” Click to read more about Bret’s condition & The Celebrity Apprentice!
Although Bret’s sister says he won’t be out of the woods for at least six months, Holly knows he’s going to pull through because he’s a survivor!
Bret Michaels is improving little by little day by day after suffering a brain hemorrhage April 26, and Holly Robinson Peete couldn’t be happier!
“He’s a fighter, he’s a winner,” Bret’s Celebrity Apprentice co-star told HollywoodLife.com exclusively at the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Television Academy Honors in Beverly Hills, Calif. May 5. “I’m praying for him and I know he’ll make it out of this little bump in the road.” She amended quickly, “Well, not little, but you know what I mean.”
