Paxton Lynch  (born Paxton James Lynch in San Antonio, Texas on February 12, 1994) is an American football player. He played college football for the University of Memphis. Paxton was selected in the first round (26th overall) of the 2016 NFL Draft by the Denver Broncos on April 28, 2016.   He redshirted his first year playing for the Memphis Tigers, before being named starting quarterback for the 2013 season.

Paxton is a strong Christian and attended Trinity Christian Academy in Deltona, Florida. He graduated in May 2016 with a B.S.E in Sport and Leisure Management.
