Max Greenfield (born Sept. 4, 1980 in Dobbs Ferry, New York) is an American actor best known for his roles in television. He began his acting career after graduating from high school in 1988, landing guest roles on Gilmore Girls and the The O.C., before scoring his first leading role on Modern Men. After the show ended, he landed recurring roles on Veronica Mars, Greek and Ugly Betty. He rose to fame when he was cast as Schmidt in Fox’s sitcom New Girl, alongside Zooey Deschanel. He has received critical acclaim for the role, earning him nominations for Golden Globes and Emmys. Max will also appear in American Horror Story‘s fifth season: AHS: Hotel. Some of Max’s film roles include They Came Together and About Alex.
