Lazaro Arbos (born Lazaro Arbos Andraca in Cuba on
December 27, 1990) is currently part of the top eight finalists on season 12 of American Idol. While he was born in Cuba, he moved to Naples, Florida when he was ten. He auditioned for season twelve in Chicago, Illinois when he sung “Bridge over Troubled Water.” When he entered the audition, the judges realized he had a very bad stutter. However, when he sings, it is not existent.
Best Known For:
Lazar Arbos is best known for his great voice on Idol, regardless of his stutter when speaking. He broke down crying after Beatles week when the judges called it his worst performance yet. However, he made it through and is still competing for the win!
Lazar has had a stutter since age six, and took speech and language therapy, but has continued to struggle.
