Austin Stowell (born Austin Miles Stowell on December 24, 1984 in Kensington, Connecticut) is an American Actor. Austin grew up in Connecticut, attending Berlin High School and the University of Connecticut, where he studied Dramatic Arts. While in college, he performed with the Connecticut Repertory Theatre, with roles in such plays as Julius Caesar, As You Like It and It Can’t Happen Here. Austin graduated in 2007 and two years later, he made his screen debut on the television series Secret Girlfriend. He followed that up with guest roles on NCIS: Los Angeles, and the 90210 revival. In 2009, his was cast as Jesse on the ABC Family show, The Secret Life of the American Teenager. His success in that program led to him taking on his first film roles, including Dolphin Tale and Love and Honor. He starred alongside Miles Teller in 2014’s Whiplash. That year, he reprised his role of Kyle Connellan for Dolphin Tale 2.

Austin is the youngest of three boys. His father is a retired steelworker and his mother is a schoolteacher. In May 2015, Austin was reportedly romantically linked with former-The Vampire Diaries star, Nina Dobrev.
