Knox served four years of a 26-year sentence before being acquitted of all charges on October 3, 2011. On March 26, 2013, her acquittal was overturned by the Italian Supreme Court, meaning that Knox can be prosecuted again for Meredith’s murder. In March 2015, that conviction was overturned, and Knox was considered not guilty by the Italian courts.
