Roselyn Sanchez (born April 2, 1973 in San Juan, Puerto Rico) is a Puerto Rican singer-songwriter, model and actress. At a young age, Roselyn demonstrated an interest in both dancing and acting, and would often put on shows for her family. She enrolled in the University of Puerto Rico, initially to follow her brothers and father into the family business of marketing. However, she dropped out and relocated to New York City, taking up classes in dancing, acting and singing. Her first movie role came when she played a small part in the Kurt Russell and Martin Short comedy, Captain Ron. She switched her focus to television, co-hosting the Puerto Rican show, Qué Vacilón. In 1993, she won the Miss Puerto Rico Petite contest and the next year, won the title of Miss American Petite. In 2001, she was cast in Rush Hour 2, and she appeared in Chasing Papi, along with Sofia Vergara. In 2003, Roselyn released her first record, Borinqueña. Her first single netted her a Latin Grammy nomination for Best Music Video. In 2005, she joined the cast of the CBS television series Without a Trace. Roselyn has also appeared in Devious Maids and the film, The Game Plan. Roselyn was set to co-host the 2015 Miss USA pageant but withdrew after Donald Trump made anti-immigrant remarks in his 2016 Presidential Campaign speech.

Personal Life:
Roselyn married actor Gary Stretch from 1998 to 2001. Roselyn began dating Puerto Rican salsa singer, Victor Manuelle that year. She ended the relationship in 2005, and the split was amicable. Roselyn married actor Eric Winter in 2008. They welcomed their first child together, daughter Sebella Rose, in 2012. Roselyn is active in supporting animal rights, posing nude in a PETA anti-fur ad.
