Bio:
Daniel Bryan (born Bryan Lloyd Danielson on May 22, 1981 in Aberdeen, Washington) is an American professional wrestler. Daniel attended Aberdeen-Weatherwax High School, competing in various sports, including football. However, his passion lay in pro-wrestling and after graduating in 1999, he attended Shawn Michaels’s school, the Texas Wrestling Academy. Daniel was signed by the then-WWF to a developmental deal. He trained in Memphis Championship Wrestling under William Regal, developing his “American Dragon” moniker. He was released from his contract in 2001, and, as Bryan Danielson, he developed a passionate following on the global independent wrestling scene. Daniel notably won championships in Ring of Honor and Pro Wrestling Guerilla, and was often called “the best in the world.” He signed a deal with WWE in Aug. 2009, and in Feb. 2010, he debuted as Daniel Bryan. Daniel biggest breakthrough in the WWE came at WrestleMania 28. After losing the World Heavyweight Championship in 18 seconds to Sheamus, the fans rallied behind Daniel. His meteoric rise in popularity resulted with Bryan winning the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 30. In Feb. 2016, Daniel announced his retirement from wrestling due to concussion-based medical reason.
