Bondi has been a major name for the GOP for years. See photos of her from then to now.
After being re-elected in 2024,Donald Trump nominated former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi to serve as U.S. attorney general in 2025, and she was later confirmed by the Senate. While Bondi has largely kept her personal life private, she has remained a prominent figure within the GOP and a longtime ally of Trump.
Bondi has consistently supported the president and backed many of his key policies. However, her tenure as attorney general has drawn increased scrutiny in recent months, particularly over the Justice Department’s handling of the Jeffrey Epstein case files. After initially suggesting in early 2025 that a so-called Epstein “client list” was under review, Bondi and the DOJ later said there was no evidence such a list existed, prompting criticism from both lawmakers and the public.
In April 2026, Trump ultimately removed Bondi from her role as attorney general following mounting backlash over the issue and broader concerns about her leadership at the department.
