Dominic is off the market once again! The actor is officially engaged to mother of Miley Cyrus, Tish Cyrus, 55, as of Saturday, April 29, after proposing in Malibu, California. The two began dating in July 2022 just months after she filed for divorce from Billy Ray Cyrus, 61, after 30 years.
“A thousand times…. YES,” she captioned the sweet engagement photos that also showed off her emerald cut ring.
He was a superhero on TV.
After the original Prison Break ended in 2009 after four years, Dominic landed a role on The CW’s Legends of Tomorrow and The Flash playing Mick Rory AKA Heat Wave. However, joining the Prison Break sequel was an easy transition, and he had no hesitations about getting back in that world.
“Wentworth [Miller] and I worked on The Flash together and we were talking about it; we were very excited about the possibility of exploring it especially with the success on Netflix,” the star told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY in 2017. “It just became inevitable, so Wentworth and I went and visited everyone and after that it happened really fast. Real fast.”
He’s a father of four.
Dominic was married from 1998 to 2008 to Rebecca Williamson, and together they had four children: Lily-Rose Purcell, 19, Augustus Purcell, 19, Audrey Purcell, 22, Joseph Purcell, 23.
He dated AnnaLynne McCord.
Dominic and AnnaLynne McCord started dating in 2011 but after three years, called it quits in December 2014. They were back together just over a year later. He got badly hurt on the Prison Break set, sharing a graphic photo, and the actress, now 35, posted on Instagram right after essentially confirming the reunion. “My badass muthaf****** man not worried at all during our 2 hour ‘copter ride to be treated following an incident during filming,” the 90210 star wrote at the time. “Won’t lie. It was scary AF wondering for hours if his skull was in tact… Alas, I’m with a rough’n tough Aussie for a reason. That hard head is good for something.”
Although the pair were back on for two years, they split again in 2018. They also appeared to be rekindled briefly in Sept. 2020 but went their separate ways once again.
He is a skin cancer survivor.
While Dominic has never really spoken about it, the actor is a skin cancer survivor. He was diagnosed in 2015, and it actually brought he and ex AnnaLynne back together. “I came back into his life as his friend, and I took him to his doctor’s appointments and I was there with him because whether or not he realized it, I love him,” she said in a podcast interview in March 2016. “One of the things he said was, ‘You really love me, don’t you?’ I was like ‘Oh my God. Are you kidding me? Are you kidding me? After all this time, you still don’t know that? I gave up all my 20s for you!’”
