What Is Kim Kardashian’s New TV Show About?
The title of the Ryan Murphy-led show (the co-creator of AHS) has not been unveiled yet. Deadline reported in December 2023 that the series will be a “high-end, glossy, sexy adult procedural.” Ryan and writers Jon Robin Baitz and Joe Baken reportedly pitched their idea to Kim and her mother, Kris Jenner, who is also her manager. The outlet noted that both agreed with the pitch and were ready to get Kim to work, as the studio was also eager to purchase the series.
Hulu is the home to Kim’s family’s hit reality TV series, The Kardashians, as well as AHS.
Previously, on the Kardashian-Jenners’ unscripted show, Kim opened up about her experience working on the hit horror anthology series, playing the role of Siobhan, a celebrity publicist. Before she started filming for the show, Kim discussed the “challenge” of acting during an interview with Variety in May 2023.
“We start shooting my stuff at the end of this month. But production has already started, and I’m so excited,” she said. “It’s really fun to step outside of your comfort zone and try something new and grow. I’m so excited for the experience.” Kim also acknowledged that she started taking acting lessons at the time, noting, “I am, of course. It’s a challenge. I like to challenge myself.”
Who Is Kim Kardashian’s TV Series Character?
Kim’s deal on the show is still being negotiated, according to the outlet, but she is expected to portray an L.A.-based divorce attorney who manages an all-women team.
TMZ also reported that the entrepreneur’s character will be based on the real-life divorce attorney Laura Wasser, who handled Kim’s divorce from ex-husband Kanye “Ye” West.
Laura has become L.A.’s most highly sought-after divorce lawyer, helping celebrities from the likes of Ariana Grande, Angelina Jolie, Ryan Reynolds, Britney Spears and even Kris Jenner.
When Is the Release Date of Kim’s Hulu Show?
It is not currently clear when the new legal drama will premiere, since Kim’s contract with the series is still being negotiated. However, Deadline reported that production is projected to start in “late 2024” with a potential “early 2025″ premiere.
