Zach Gilford (born Zachary Michael Gilford in Evanston, Illinois on January 14, 1982) is an American actor. Zach is of half Swedish and half Russian Jewish descent and graduated from Northwestern University. He started his acting career in 2003 where he appeared in a short titled Handbook to Casual Stalking. A couple years after, Zach had a part in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and then went on to appear in a number of TV shows. Zach started gaining fame when he starred in Friday Night Lights as Matt Saracen.

Personal Life:
Zach Gilford married actress Kiele Sanchez two years after they started dating in 2010. The couple got engaged on November 2011 and they tied the knot on December 29, 2012. Zach and Kiele announced in Aug. 2015 that they were expecting their first child in November. Sadly, Kiele suffered a late-term miscarriage in October.
