Bio:
Tyson Gay (born August 9, 1982 in Lexington, Kentucky) is an American track and field Olympian. Tyson competes in the 100m and 200m sprints, and holds the American record for 100m with 9.69 seconds. He’s the second-fastest athlete in the world, after Usain Bolt. Tyson has an incredible number of World Championships and World Cup medals. He made it to the 2012 London Olympics, and missed out on the bronze in the 100m final by a one hundredth of a second. The American won the silver medal for the 4 × 100 metres relay final, but Tyson was later disqualified when he failed a drug test in 2013. He competed in the 2016 Rio Olympics, but the team did not medal.

Personal Life:
Tyson has one daughter with his ex-partner, Shoshana Boyd, named Trinity Gay. Trinity was fatally shot on October 16, 2016, at the age of 15. Tyson helped raise his niece, Destin, as well.
