Tommy Ford (born Thomas Mikal Ford on September 5, 1964 in Yonkers, NY) and an American actor and comedian. He is best known for his role as Tommy Strawn in the sitcom Martin. He received an NAACP Image Awards nom in 1996 for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy series for this role. Tommy went on to play the role of Lt. Malcolm Barker in the FOX drama New York Undercover. Tommy went on to play a recurring role on the UPN sitcom, The Parkers. He played the role of Mel Parker. Most recently, he appeared on the show Let’s Stay Together in 2011.

On October 12, 2016, it was reported that Tommy was on life support due to complications from a stomach aneurysm. He passed away later that day.
