Another one of Tommy Ford’s ‘Martin’ co-stars has taken to Instagram to mourn the late actor after his sudden death. Carl Payne sent love to Tommy, who he called his ‘brother,’ with the most touching message — see it here.
“To my brother, like no other, from another mother,” Carl Payne wrote to Tommy Martin alongside a pic of the two of them standing side by side. “I LOVE YOU. AND I THANK GOD FOR SHARING HIS AMAZING GIFT…TOMMY FORD!! I WILL MISS YOU MY TRUE FRIEND..MAY YOUR LEGACY AND THE MEMORY OF YOUR LIGHT SHINE FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS…”
Carl and Tommy starred together on the Fox sitcom Martin in the 90s, and obviously got super close during their time working together. Tommy tragically passed away at just 52 years old on Oct. 12 in Atlanta after suffering from a ruptured aneurysm in his abdomen. He was initially placed on life support, but his family eventually made the heartbreaking decision to let him go.
In the days before his death, thing seemed to be going fine for the actor: Although he had knee replacement surgery back on Sept. 28, he was optimistic about his recovery, and even shared photos of his progress in physical therapy on Oct. 7, just five days before his sad, sad passing. His last Instagram post was on Oct. 7.
Tommy’s exact cause of death has not been confirmed, however, a doctor, who never treated the sitcom star, told HollywoodLife.com that it’s easy for doctors to miss aneurysms because there are no symptoms or warning signs. An Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) occurs when the walls of the aorta, which carries blood from the heart to other parts of the body, swells or becomes larger in the abdomen. It is not known if
