Hollywood has been rocked with heartbreaking and tragic deaths of celebrities taken too soon. Most recently, the death of Naya Rivera following a 6-day search for her body completely shocked the nation. In the end of January 2020, the world was heartbroken and continues to mourn the loss of basketball star Kobe Bryant, who died in a helicopter crash alongside his daughter, Gianna. 

In Summer 2019, before the premiere of the heavily anticipated Descendants 3, actor Cameron Boyce died suddenly from a fatal seizure. The autopsy results were released by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner on July 30, 2019, confirming Boyce’s cause of death was due to sudden unexpected death in epilepsy.

News of Anthony Bourdain’s suicide was absolutely heartbreaking. The renowned chef and traveler was found dead by hisfriend Eric Ripert of an apparent suicide by hanging in his room at Le Chambard hotel in Kaysersberg near Colmar.

DJ Avicii passed away on April 20, 2019 at the age of 28. He was buried on June 8th at Hedvig Eleonora Church in his hometown.

Joan Rivers died after experiencing serious complications when she stopped breathing while undergoing what was scheduled to be a minor throat procedure at an outpatient clinic in Yorkville, Manhattan. She died on September 4 at Mount Sinai, never having awakened from a medically induced coma.

Basketball star Kobe Bryant died on January 26, 2020, alongside his his 13-year-old daughter Gianna and nine other passengers aboard their helicopter headed to the Mamba Academy. The cause of the crash is still unknown, as the helicopter was not equipped with a black box.

Mac Miller tragically died of an accidental drunk overdose on September 7, 2018. The Coroner’s office found the rapper died of an accidental overdose of fentanyl, cocaine and alcohol.

The beloved Robin Williams died by suicide on August 11, 2014. The final autopsy report noted that Williams had been suffering from depression and anxiety. His widow revealed that in the year before his death Robin had experienced a sudden and prolonged spike in fear and anxiety, depression, and insomnia, which worsened in severity to include memory loss, paranoia, and delusions after he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.

Singer Tom Petty died in an accidental overdose on October 2, 2017. The Hall of Fame musician had reportedly taken several pain medications, including Fentanyl, oxycodone and generic Xanax.
