Serayah (born Serayah McNeill on June 20, 1995 in Encinitas, California) is an American singer, dancer and actress. In addition to California, Serayah grew up in Washington and Georgia. Serayah had a desire for performing from an early age. Prior to her acting career, Serayah worked multiple modeling and print jobs in Los Angeles. At 11, she was a dancer in a music video and at age 15, she modeled for a Playstation Move advertising campaign. One of Serayah’s high school friend’s step-mom was the casting director for the new Fox drama, Empire. This connection led to Serayah getting cast in the role of Tiana Brown. The drama was an instant hit, helping to launch her career. Amazingly, despite the critical acclaim for her acting and singing in the series, Empire was Serayah’s first performance in front of a camera. Her film debut will come in 2016’s Lucky Girl, where she portrays Lisa Jackson. Serayah also joined the huge cast of stars in Taylor Swift’s music video for the song, “Bad Blood.” In the video epic, Serayah portrayed the character of Dilemma.
