Raphael Schumacher (born in 1988 in Italy) is an Italian actor. He was starring in the experimental theatre production of Mirages in Pisa, Italy, when he accidentally hung himself right on stage on Jan. 30 2016. Raphael was acting out a hanging scene, which was added in at the last minute, but successfully practiced earlier in the evening, when something went terribly wrong. A medical student in the audience recognized that the actor was being strangled and ran to help, and Raphael was rushed to the hospital, but was eventually declared brain dead.
