Rafael Amaya

Bio:
Rafael Amaya (born José Rafael Amaya Núñez in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico on July 9, 1975) is a Mexican actor, singer and model. After completing college in San Diego, Rafael returned to Mexico to play in various music groups, but decided to focus his attention on modeling instead. For a while, he worked for a casting group and starred in two small novellas, but he really got his started in Jan. 2002 as one of the main characters in the soap opera Salome. He went on to star in several television series, the most successful probably being 2013-2014’s El Senor de los Cielos, which won an International Emmy Award. He appeared in four episodes of Ugly Betty, too, and also made some appearances on the big screen.

Personal Life:
Rafael dated actress Angelica Celaya for five years before proposing, but announced in May 2015 that the pair had called off the wedding an were ending their relationship. She allegedly cheated on him with her co-star, Matt Ryan.
