Bio:
Olivia Benson (introduced in June 2014) is a Scottish fold cat, currently owned by Taylor Swift. Taylor posted an instagram picture of Olivia as a kitten on June 19, 2014. She is the younger of Taylor’s two kittens, the older being Meredith Grey. Olivia’s nickname is Dibbles. Taylor has said that the younger of her two kittens is an “aggressive sleeper.” Olivia is also a video star. She appeared alongside Taylor in her 2014 Diet Coke commercial and had a cameo in Taylor’s video for “Blank Space.” Always a free spirit, Olivia refuses to travel in a cat carrier, often forcing Taylor to carry her in her arms. In October 2014, Olivia was at the center of a feud between Taylor and Monty Python’s Flying Circus star, John Cleese. John dissed Olivia, wondering if she was “a proper cat.” Taylor retaliated via Instagram with an adorable picture of her cats, relaxing (after shaking it off.)

Olivia is named after Mariska Hargitay‘s character on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. Like Mereideth Grey, Taylor has named her cats after female characters with strong personalities. Mariska responded to the loving tribute by posting in an Instagram picture, wearing a cat collar.
