Linda McMahon (born Linda Marie McMahon in New Bern, North Carolina on Oct. 4, 1948) is an American politician who affiliates with the Republican party. Prior to entering politics, Linda began making a name for herself in the world of WWE with her husband Vince McMahon. From 1980 to 2009, Linda and her husband grew the sports business from a small regional event, to a multinational company. One of Linda’s main focuses of growing the business, was product merchandising. The businesswoman managed to negotiate deals with major manufacturers to distribute action figures and other WWE gear. In addition to manning the behind the scenes portion of the business, Linda also appeared on screen in various storylines on WWFTV’s Raw. Following her long career in WWE business, Linda sought out a career in politics. In 2009, the businesswoman was appointed to the State Board of Education. She resigned one year later, but that wasn’t the end of her political journey. Shortly after, it was revealed that Linda had acquired enough votes to have her name added to the primary ballot for U.S. Senate, which kickstarted her campaign for office in 2012. Linda lost the general election in Nov. 2012 to Democratic candidate Chris Murphy, but her efforts didn’t go unnoticed. Nearly four years later, Donald Trump announced his intent to nominate Linda to be his Administrator of the Small Business Administration.

Personal Life:
Linda McMahon became engaged to Vince shortly after they graduated high school. The couple later tied the knot in Aug. 1966, when she was only 17 years old. In addition to growing a business together, the couple conceived two kids, a boy and girl.
