Kevin Ware (born on January 3, 1993 in Bronx, NY) is an American basketball player. Kevin attends the University of Louisville and is currently a sophomore there. As a high school player, Kevin was first-team all-state and was rated a top recruit by Rivals.com, ESPNU’s Top 100, and Scout.com. He had originally signed a national letter-of-intent to attend the University of Tennessee before changing his mind and signing with the Louisville Cardinals. On March 31, 2013, in an Elite Eight game against Duke University, Kevin tried to block a shot and broke his leg in multiple places after landing awkwardly.

Kevin Ware grew up in the Bronx, NY, but attended Rockdale County High School in Georgia. He has three sisters — Donna, Brittney, Khadijah. As a sophomore at Louisville, he is yet to declare his major. Kevin’s favorite basketball player is LeBron James. His favorite movies are Boyz n the Hood and Menace 2 Society.
