Jose Aldo (born José Aldo da Silva Oliveira Junior in Manaus, Brazil, on September 9, 1986) is a Brazilian mixed martial artist who competes in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). After coming from a very poor background, Jose developed a knack for fighting and participated in his first professional MMA fight at age 17 in 2004. After rebounding from a tough loss in 2005, Jose went on a winning streak, going undefeated in 18 fights until December 2015. He claimed the fourth and final WEC Featherweight Champion title and later becoming the first UFC Featherweight Champion in the midst of the UFC/WEC merger in 2010. As of August 2016, Jose holds the No. 7 spot in the UFC pound-for-pound rankings and is ranked as the No. 2 featherweight in the world.

Personal Life:
