Bio:
Jason Day (born Jason Day in Beaudesert, Queensland, Australia on November, 12, 1987), is an Australian professional golfer who is a member on the PGA Tour. He has had some successful results in major championships where he has been a runner-up three times, two of those times happening back-to-back at the 2011 Masters and the 2011 U.S. Open. For the first time in his career, Jason broke into the world’s top ten in June 2011. He rose to world number nine prior to his runner-up finish at the U.S. Open. He won his first WGC title in February 2014 and ranked as world number four, his highest ranking to date. Jason won his first major at the 2015 PGA Championship, setting a major record by scoring 20 under par.
Best Known For:
His professional golf career — as well as collapsing at the 2015 U.S. Open on the ninth whole during his 18th day of the championship, after a severe bout of dizziness.
Personal Life:
Jason married Ellie Harvey, from Lucas, Ohio, in October 2009. The married pair now live in Westersville, Ohio. They welcomed a son named Dash in 2012. In November 2013, eight of Jason’s family members (including his grandmother) died during Typhoon Haiyan.
