Bio:
Jason Alexander (born Jason Scott Greenspan on September 23, 1959 in Newark, New Jersey) is an American actor and comedian. Growing up in Livingston, Jason graduated Livingston High School in 1977 before attending Boston University. He left the summer before his senior year to get acting work in New York City. He began his acting career on the stage as a singer and dancer. He appeared in Jerome Robbin’s Broadway, which won him the 1989 Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical. Jason’s film career began with 1981’s The Burning, and he found film success with supporting roles in 1990’s Jacob’s Ladder and Pretty Woman. After winning the Tony, Jason moved to Los Angeles where he starred in the pilot of Seinfeld, featuring comedian Jerry Seinfeld. The show ran from 1989 to 1998 and won him many American Comedy and Screen Actors Guild awards. In addition to Seinfeld, Jason also voiced the lead character in the cult animation series Duckman, and played the lead in the CBS sitcom, Listen Up!. He has also appeared in episodes of Criminal Minds, Monk, Star Trek: Voyager and the live action Fairy Oddparents movies. Most of Jason’s efforts have been devoted to theatrical projects, including costarring with Martin Short in the Los Angeles production of The Producers and serving as the creative director for the Reprise Theatre Company.

Personal Life:
Jason took the last name “Alexander” because it’s his father’s name and it helped him in auditions, since call backs were done in alphabetical order. Jason has been married to Daena E. Title since May 1982. They have two sons together – Gabriel and Noah. Jason is an accomplished poker player and is a practicing magician. He is involved with many humanitarian efforts including the Scleroderma foundation, the ASPCA and the OneVoice initiative.
