Hassan Whiteside (born June 13, 1989 in Gastonia, North Carolina) is an American professional basketball player. He played college basketball for the Marshall Thundering Herd before he was drafted 33rd overall to the Sacramento Kings in the 2010 NBA Draft. Hassan played for the Miami Heat beginning in 2014. He is currently a free agent with interest from the Portland Trail Blazers, LA Lakers and Dallas Mavericks.

Hassan is the son of past NFL player Hassan Arbubakkr and Debbie Whiteside. His father played for the Minnesota Vikings and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
