Elodie Yung (born on February 22, 1981 in Paris, France) is a French television and film actress. Elodie grew up in Seine-saint-Denis, in Le Bourget. She practiced karate and obtained her black belt! She enrolled in the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and also attained a Master’s Degree in Law from the University of Paris. When she was 20, Elodie decided to give acting a try, appearing in eight episode of the French television show, La Vie Devant Nous. Her film debut came in 2004, as the played the lead Tsu in Les fils du vent. She followed that up with a role as the gang lord Tao in District 13: Ultimatum. Elodie appeared in the 2011 English remake of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, and followed that up with a role in the 2013 movie, G.I. Joe: Retaliation. She was cast to portray the goddess Hathor in the film, Gods of Egypt. Her history of martial arts expertise landed Elodie as the role of the ninja assassin Elektra in the second season of the original Netflix series, Marvel’s Daredevil.

Personal Life:
Elodie’s mother is French and her father is Cambodian. She is the first non-American actress to play the character of Elektra in a live-action setting, following Jennifer Garner’s performance in the 2003 movie. Elodie is a fitness enthusiast. She is also active with humanitarian efforts, spending time with the Cambodian Children’s Fund.
