Bio:
Eagles of Death Metal is an American rock band from Palm Desert, California. The band was formed in 1998 by Jesse Hughes and Josh Homme, who are the only permanent members of the band, and first appeared on Josh’s The Desert Sessions Volumes 3 & 4, released that same year.  Aside from Josh and Jesse, there are also a number of other musicians that play under the Eagles of Death Metal moniker, both on the albums and in live shows, frequently under humorous aliases. Though their name may imply it, the Eagles of Death Metal are not a death metal band. Rather, the band describes their sound as a cross between “bluegrass slide guitar mixed with stripper drum beats and Canned Heat vocals.” The Eagles of Death Metal released their debut studio album in March 2004, entitled, Peace, Love and Death Metal. Since then, the band has released three other studio albums including Death by Sexy (2006), Heart On (2008) and Zipper Down (2015).
