Bio:
Denis Leary (born Denis Colin Leary on August 18, 1957 in Worcester, Massachusetts) is an American actor and Comedian. Denis grew up in Massachusetts, attending Emerson College in Boston where he discovered the Emerson Comedy Workshop. After graduating in 1981, he took a job at the school teaching comedy. He also began his career as a stand-up comedian, appearing on a local television series, The Late, Late Show. During this era, he also appeared on MTV’s game show, Remote Control. His style of ranting at high speeds about popular culture gained him a following among the comedy world. He would release his first comedy album, No Cure For Cancer, in 1993. Denis would also land parts in movies like The Sandlot, The Ref, Demolition Man and Operation Dumbo Drop. With television, Denis has been the lead in two shows: The Job and Rescue Me, which he co-created. His role on the show earned him two Emmy Nominations. He also lent his voice for the Pixar movie A Bug’s Life and Dreamworks Ice Age film series. In 2015, Denis starred in a new television show, Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll.

Personal Life:
Denis married Ann Lembeck in 1989. They have two children, son John Joseph and daughter Devin. Denis is an avid hockey fan, as well as a supporter of the Boston Red Sox and the Green Bay Packers. Denis created the Leary Firefighters Foundation to help support the Fire Departments in Boston, New York City and Worcester.
