David Miscavige

Bio:
David Miscavige (born David Miscavige on April 30, 1960 in Bucks County, Pennsylvania) is the leader of the Church of Scientology. His official title is the Chairman of the Board of the Religious Technology Center. He was deputy to church founder L. Ron Hubbard when he was just a teenager and rose to the leadership position in the 1980s. Some of his earliest jobs in the Sea Org included delivering telexes, grounds-keeping, food service and photography for Scientology brochures. He has been subject to lots of allegations of alleged illegal and unethical practices of the Church of Scientology, specifically targeted by former celebrity members like Leah Remini. Claims have been made in the past about families being separated from their love ones who join, coercive fundraising practices, harassment of journalists and church critics, but all have been denied by David in the past.

Best Known For:
David is best known for being the leader of Scientology and a close friend to Hollywood movie star Tom Cruise.  

Personal Life:
David is married to fellow Sea Org member Michele Diane “Shelly” Miscavige. However, she hasn’t been seen in public since 2007. Reports suggested that she went missing from the ‘Gold Base’ HQ in California after applying for several jobs outside the compound without her husband’s permission. They have been denied by the organization.
