Danneel Harris

Bio:
Danneel Harris (born Elta Danneel Graul on March 18, 1979 in Lafayette, Louisiana) is an American actress and model. She began her career as a model, working with companies such as Big Sexy Hair. In 2003, she received her first role on ABC’s Soap Opera One Life to Live as Shannon McBain. She left the series in December 2004. She went on to appear in small roles on sitcoms such as How I Met Your Mother and What I Like About You. In 2005, Danneel received her first major role in the third season of The CW’s One Tree Hill, in which she played Rachel Gattina. She was a series regular until a format change in season five. Danneel was cast as the female lead in the Harold & Kumar comedy films. She went on to play small roles in The Roommate, The Back-Up Plan, and Friends with Benefits. In June 2012, it was announced she would have a major recurring role in the in the second season of Retired at 35.

Personal Life:
Danneel became engaged to Supernatural actor Jensen Ackles in November 2009. They married on May 15, 2010 in Dallas, Texas. On January 7, 2013, they announced they were expecting their first child. Their daughter was born in 2013. On August 11, 2016, the couple announced they were expecting twins.
