Daniel Dion

Bio:
Daniel Dion (born Nov. 29, 1956 in Charlemagne, Quebec) is Celine Dion‘s brother. He is 12 years older than the singer. He’s a professional musician in his native Quebec.

Best Known For:
Daniel is best known as Celine Dion’s older brother.

Personal Life:
Daniel is the eighth child in among Celine’s 13 brothers and sisters. They grew up in a musical household in Charlemagne, Quebec where they performed together at their parent’s piano bar. He married Ghyslaine Bujold and went on to have three children together three children Vaine, Guillaume and Marie-Michele. His wife died from cancer in 2015 at age 59.  Daniel worked as a cabinet maker before spending the last several decades of his life devoted to music. He’s skilled in playing the piano, organ and accordion. Daniel suffers from the same type of throat cancer that killed Celine’s husband, Rene Angelil. Sadly, on Jan. 15, it was revealed that Daniel’s cancer had spread to his tongue and brain and that he only had hours to live.
