Dan Haggerty (born Dan Haggerty in Pound, Wisconsin on November 19, 1941) is an American actor who starred as Grizzly Adams on The Life and Times of Grizzly Adams. His film debut took place in the 1964 movie, Muscle Beach Party. He also appeared in movies like Easy Rider, Angels Die Hard, The Adventures of Frontier Fremont and Terror Out Of The Sky. Dan received his star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame in 1994. Dan died after a battle with cancer on Jan. 15, 2016.

Dan was married twice. Once to Diane Rooker until 1984 and that same year he married Samantha Hilton, who died in 2008 after a motorcycle crash. Dan leaves behind three children.
