Courtney Harrell (born in 1980 in Boston, Massachusetts) is an American singer. She is one of the top 12 contestants on NBC’s The Voice. She’s on Blake Shelton’s team. She worked as a music teacher for the Boston school district from 2005 to 2009. She moved from Boston to Los Angeles after her producer friend asked her to write a song for Chris Brown. She’s written for Ariana Grande, Jennifer Hudson, Ne-Yo, Brandy, Mary J. Blige, and toured as a background singer for John Legend.
