Christian Cuevas (born in Rochester, NY in 1996) is a current contestant on season 11 of The Voice. Before the show, Christian as learning to sing while working at a guitar store and was a music student at Rollins College in Orlando, Florida. He first auditioned a few years ago following his father’s diagnosis, but he didn’t make the cut. Then this year, he auditioned again after the producers saw him on YouTube and approached him. He sang Michael Bolton’s song “How Am I Supposed to Live Without You,” turning both Blake Shelton and Adam Levine‘s chairs in the first ten seconds.

Christian Cuevas’ father passed away before The Voice began, causing him to choke up on stage. “Thinking about my dad. He passed away about a year ago,” he told Alicia Keys.
