Caleb Perry Johnson is an American singer from Asheville, North Carolina. He is the lead singer of rock band Elijah Hooker, and rocketed to fame as a contestant on Season 13 of American Idol, where he placed in the finals. He first auditioned in 2011, for the show’s 10th season, and made it through to Hollywood Week before being eliminated. He auditioned again in 2012 for Season 11 and made it to the Top 42, but forgot the lyrics during his performance of “Old Time Rock And Roll” and was cut. He waited a year before auditioning again for Season 13 and made it to the Top 20.
