Ariel Camacho (born Jose Ariel Camacho Barraza in Sinaloa, Mexico in 1993) was an up and coming singer signed to DEL records who was tragically killed in a car accident on Feb. 25, 2015.
Best Known For:
Ariel Camacho is best known for his amazing guitar and vocal skills as well as for his first album El Karma, recorded with his band Los Plebes del Rancho. The bands biggest hits included “Hablemos claro,” “Toro encartado” and “El Karma.”
Personal Life:
Ariel was born in Sinaloa, Mexico. The singer passed away at the age of 22-years-old on Feb. 25, when he was involved in a car accident outside Sinaloa while promoting the deluxe version of his debut album, El Karma. Following his death, fans took over Twitter to mourn the loss of the talented musician and CEO of DEL records, Angel Del Villar, released a statement saying, “My heart is broken by the loss of Ariel Camacho. Ariel was like a son to me. I knew he was going to transform the genre in Mexico and the United States,” he continued. “Millions of people would have become fans and would have gotten to know the man I did. We send our condolences to the families of all those involved in the accident.”
