‘The Challenge’ Preview: CT Reveals He’s ‘Separated’ From His Wife — ‘The Dad Bod Era Is Over’

In this EXCLUSIVE look at the launch special for ‘The Challenge: Double Agents, CT Tamburello drops a bombshell about the status of his relationship with his wife, Lili.

CT Tamburello is back in tip-top shape on The Challenge: Double Agents. Ahead of the show’s premiere on Dec. 9, MTV is airing a launch special, The Challenge: Double Agents Declassified, and HollywoodLife has an EXCLUSIVE sneak peek. In the preview, CT opens up about separating from his wife, Lili Solares, who he married in 2018.

“The last few seasons, I wasn’t in the best place mentally,” CT admits. “Marriage was not going well. We’re separated. I feel like I’ve been running from problems for a long time. I feel like they finally caught up with me. I couldn’t lie to myself anymore. So now I’m coming in, focused on my self, focused on my son, focused on my work, getting my hea right and getting in shape. Taking my life back. The dad bod era is over. It’s now a fatherly figure.”

CT started dating Lili during his years away from the spotlight, which followed the death of his on/off love, Diem Brown, in 2014. After two years away from The Challenge, he returned for Invasion of the Champions in 2017, and shocked fans when he revealed that he had fathered a son during his time off the show. CT and Lil kept their relationship extremely private during that time, but had a very public wedding, which aired on MTV in Dec. 2018.

Despite everything going on in his personal life, CT has been a regular fixture on The Challenge since Invasion of the Champions. He won that season, as well as War of the Worlds 2 in 2019. During last season, Total Madness, CT was shockingly eliminated by a rookie player, Jay Starrett, so he’s definitely back for revenge on Double Agents.

The Challenge: Double Agents Declassified airs on Dec. 7 at 8:00 p.m. on MTV. The special will introduce viewers to the cast and give an exclusive look at footage that won’t be shown this season. Meanwhile, The Challenge: Double Agents premieres on Wed., Dec. 9 at 8:00 p.m. on MTV.
